I really want to help struggling farmers because they work so hard to provide us with food and yet they don’t get much from the money we spend at supermarkets. I also love buying handmade items as gifts because it supports a mum trying to make an income and is often a well received gift because it’s been made with love. I love networking and our local permaculture group is a great way to learn who does what around here and a lot of it is a ‘barter’ which is so simple and old-fashioned. It’s great to know where your meat at the IGA is coming from…ours also stocks local.
